Château de Jonquières
At the foot of the Plateau de Larzac, in the Moyenne Vallée de l'Hérault, the Château de Jonquières, recorded as an official French Historical Monument, is situated in a wine producing village, Jonquières.
It is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, in a superb region full of wonderful natural and historical sites, worth visiting.
Family home till now, the Château de Jonquières offers you a pleasant place to stay and fine wines to taste.

The Terroir.
The soil is originally from chalky rock (limestone consisting of calcareous fossil skeletal fragments) or the Plateau de Larzac falling from the top of the hill so giving the fondamental characteristics of our wines:
power, aroma, and a typical elegance.
The overwhelming quality of our wines comes from a well balanced combination of specificity of the soil, mediterranean climate, traditional wine-plant, a strict control of the grapes and a great care used during the process of vinification.

The field is located North-West of Montpellier in the Garrigues. We produce "Vin de Pays d'Oc", wines of the Oc country: vintage white “Chamade”, and reds “Paradox, Enigme, Tentation and Charles”. Descendants of five generations of wine growers, we have created a unique cellar in 2003. Jacky Fournier’s nephew Nicolas Fournier joined this dynamic two-generation team that combines authenticity and innovation with the motivation to create wines of quality, original wines, and signature wines.
The vineyard
Domaine d'Escary is on a very stony, clayey limestone soil with excellent drainage.
The climate is Mediterranean, tempered by light sea breezes. The vines are cultivated with respect to their environment.
Vegetation is closely controlled which, combined with deep pruning, provides very low yields. Organic soil improvement agents stimulate the microbial richness of the soil and any treatments are made on a reasoned basis ensuring harvests of small grapes, shaped by nature

Présentation
Le domaine est situé au nord ouest de Montpellier dans les garrigues.
Viticulteur depuis cinq générations nous avons crée en 2003 une cave particulière.
Jacky Fournier a été rejoint par Nicolas Fournier, son neveu, le dynamisme de cette équipe de deux générations allie, authenticité et novation avec une même motivation de créer des vins de qualité, des vins originaux, des vins empreints d’une signature.
Le Vignoble
Le Domaine d'Escary est implanté dans la garrigue, au coeur du Languedoc à 12 Km au nord ouest de Montpellier, sur un magnifique terroir argilo calcaire, très caillouteux et drainant.
Le climat est méditerranéen tempéré par de légères entrées maritimes.
La culture de la vigne est respectueuse de son environnement.
L'enherbement naturel maîtrisé associé à une taille sévère régule de très faibles rendements. Les amendements organiques favorisent la vie microbienne de ce terroir, les traitements réalisés avec parcimonie et de façon raisonnée assurent une récolte de petites grappes façonnées par la nature.
