Domaine Beck-Hartweg

Yvette and Michel BECK- HARTWEG are wine-growers in Dambach-La-Ville, Alsace,  France.  Dambach, a medieval borough with a very old wine - tradition, lies as in a nest amidst the vineyards.
We cultivate our vines and have produced wine from father to son -or to daughter-  for several centuries. Yvette has managed to retrace our family-tree, or better “family-vinestock",  going back to 1590, through 14 generations. Of course, all of them were wine-growers !

We have always favoured the vines on the hills,  more  difficult to cultivate, but giving very ripe small grapes and fruitier wines !
For  this reason,  we now  own  a  good  set  of vines on the hill “FRANKSTEIN”, classified as a GRAND CRU, and on the other hills above Dambach. Since 1956,  Charles and Marie-Louise BECK are bottling  their wines themselves and selling them directly to private  customers.
We, Yvette and Michel, have taken over their work, helped during the holidays by our children Florian and Maya.We are independent winegrowers.
We aim to remain a familial estate where we can work ourselves in the vineyards,  vinificate our own wines and know each of our customers personally.
We are currently trying to widen  our  clientèle  in exporting  to foreign countries where people appreciate the personalized Alsace  wines from the wine-growers we are ....

Domaine Jean Sipp

The Domaine Jean SIPP is situated in the heart of Ribeauvillé, in the high town, in a former seigniorial residence dating from 1416.Jean-Jacques SIPP, a wine-grower since 1973, studied at the AVIZE school in Champagne. He has built his reputation on practises that respect the grape, close to organic methods, that are the basis of the quality of his wines.

The Domaine Jean SIPP is spread over some 50 plots of land on the territory of 5 different villages and covering a total surface area of 23 hectares with the appellations "Alsace" and "Alsace Grand Cru". It includes 2.5 ha of Grand Cru Kirchberg and Osterberg, 2.5 ha of Cru Trottacker and 1.5 ha of Clos Ribeaupierre.
The Domaine produces around twenty different cuvées from the seven Alsatian grape varieties. These cuvées benefit from homogeneous soils, mostly argilo-calcareous in nature.
Jean-Jacques SIPP is now sure of his succession: his son Jean-Guillaume arrived on the estate at the age of 22. After his training at the agricultural high school in Rouffach, he gained work experience with numerous wine-growers including the Domaine ZIND-HUMBRECHT, in Alsace, the Domaine Olivier LEFLAIVE in Burgundy, the Domaine Marcel GUIGAL in Ampuis in the Rhône and the Domaine MONT-REDON in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and has had contacts with other vineyards in the New World, including in CHILE, ARGENTINA and SOUTH AFRICA.
The family of three, Martine, Jean-Jacques and their son Jean-Guillaume have put all their efforts into making the estate's wines known beyond our borders.
